Power star Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film Pink remake has been launched today with a formal pooja ceremony. At the office of Dil Raju, pooja of Pink Telugu remake is done by Dil Raju and director Venu Sriram of MCA fame. Except for Power Star Pawan Kalyan, all team members graced the launch event of Pink remake.

The Pooja ceremony was done without any media glare. The regular shoot will commence from the month of January and Pawn Kalyan is expected to start the shoot from February 2020. He will take part in the shoot without any break. Nivetha Thomas is on board to play the key role. She will be reprising the role played by Taapsee Pannu in the original. She has acted in films like ‘Ninnu Kori’, ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ and ‘Brochevarevaruraa’ and is known for excellent acting skills.

Pawan Kalyan will be seen as a lawyer in the High Court in this Telugu movie of Pink remake. He will be reprising the role played by Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi. Pawan’s last outing at the theatres was with Agnyaathavaasi, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, which released in 2018.

Dil Raju is producing Pawan Kalyan and Nivetha Thomas starrer Pink remake in association with Boney Kapoor. The makers are planning to release the film during summer 2020.

Incidentally, Boney Kapoor forayed into Kollywood by bankrolling the Tamil remake of Pink. Titled as Nerkonda Paarvai in Tamil, in which Thala Ajith played the lead role. helmed by H Vinoth, the film had Shraddha Srinath, Abhirami Venkatachalam, Andrea Tariang in important roles.

Hindi movie Pink starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, was a critically acclaimed film and had won the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues. It was helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. The movie also had Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Vijay Varma, Angad Bedi, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Piyush Mishra and Mamata Shankar in pivotal roles.
