Peddanna collections: Kollywood Superstar Rajinikanth and Nayanthara starrer rural drama Peddanna, helmed by Siva and bankrolled by produced by Sun pictures Head, Kalanithi Maran, was released yesterday on the occasion of Diwali. On the release date, the movie received mixed response by the movie lovers and the critics from each corners. Now according to the latest report, Peddanna has collected Rs 1.60 Cr shares at the box office of both Telugu States- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on its opening day.

Apart from the lead pair, Rajinikanth and Nayanthara, the film has Khushboo, Meena, and Keerthy Suresh in the crucial roles. While Khushboo and Meena play the maradalus who vie for his affections, Nayanthara plays the woman who Rajinikanth falls for.
Narayan Das Narang, Sunil Narang, Suresh Babu and Dil Raju released Peddanna in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu under Asian Infra Estates banner. D.Imman is rendering the tune while its cinematography is by Vetri and Ruben is editor.
