Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed political parties for taking the shortcuts to win  the power by making the announcements that could hollow out the country’ financial system. Narendra Modi said some political parties and leaders should learn from the countries that had recently faced difficulties because of a lack of the fiscal discipline.

Though PM Modi did not name any party, but his attack was seen as being aimed at the Aam Aadmi Party- AAP which has previously announced freebies to woo voters. Modi added that the country does not want shortcut politics. He flagged that comprehensive development is necessary with a vision of the future and some parties are trying to destroy the economy in the name of free schemes.

On Sunday, PM Modi laid  foundation stone and inaugurated eleven development projects in Maharashtra with a cost of Rs 75 thousand cr. On this occasion, Prime Minister said, ‘For the last 8 years, we have changed our mindset and are working with the perspective of  Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas.

He added, “I want to tell these parties who do shortcuts that you need to understand the importance of all round development.
