A Congress leader named K Manavatha Roy has lodged a police complaint against Megastar Chiranjeevi’ brother Naga Babu for praising Mahatma Gandhi’ killer Nathuram Godse over social media. The sources say that the Osmania University police booked Naga Babu for posting objectionable content, which sought to humiliate the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Mega brother posted the content from his Twitter handle. Telangana Congress leader K Manavatha Roy lodged the complaint, and alleged that Naga Babu’s tweet was disrespectful to Mahatma Gandhi and praised the freedom fighter’s killer Nathuram Godse.
Naga Babu is the younger brother of Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi and elder brother of another popular actor and Jana Sena President and actor Power Star Pawan Kalyan. The complainant Manavatha Roy sought booking of cases against Naga Babu and his arrest for humiliating the father of the nation- Mahatma Gandhi, with a tweet praising Nathuram Godse.
The complainant Manavatha Roy also stated that Mega brother Naga Babu supported Nathuram Godse and called him a true patriot.
Manavatha Roy demanded that the police book a case against Naga Babu and take strict action against him. The Osmania University police have received the complaint and said they were verifying it.
Osmania University police inspector S. Rajashekhar Reddy revealed that they had received a complaint, but not yet registered a case against Naga Babu yet.
