A police official committed suicide today on Thursday. The body of Circle Inspector Surya Narayana, was found hanging in his room at his residence. The cop said, “Surya Narayana died by hanging from a fan at his residence in the police quarters in the city, Hanumanpet area.” The exact reason behind her suicide is still unknown. The incident came to light after his wife informed the police at around 5.30 am.
A probe has been initiated into the death of Surya Narayana and his body has been sent for autopsy. His body is reportedly examined by doctors, who are likely to reveal more details about his suicide after the postmortem.
The police said that Ill-health was suspected to be the reason behind the suicide of the police officer Surya Narayan.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijaya Rao said to the reporters that Surya Narayan was suffering from liver cirrhosis and he was mentally disturbed.
Surya Narayana belongs to 1989 batch, he was posted at Armed Reserve Grounds in Vijayawada.
The police has registered a case of death under the suspicious circumstances and started the investigations.
