Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Sarathkumar, Rahman, Jayam Ravi and Trisha Krishnan are currently working together for an upcoming big budget drama Ponniyin Selvan. Today the makers of Ponniyin Selvan officially announced that the Part 1 will be released on 20th September in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The first look poster of Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha have also been released from Ponniyin Selvan, which are going viral on the social media.
Coming on the first look posters, Vikram is seen on a horse trying to grab a royal sword from the ground. Karthi looks like a magician. Jayam Ravi as a warrior prince resting on a knee with his blood-stained sword in the middle of the battleground. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’ as a princess. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be seen as Nandini, Jayam Ravi as Arulmozhi Varman, Vikram as Aditya Karikalan, Karthi as Vandhiyathevan and Trisha Krishnan as Kundavai.
Ponniyin Selvan is being helmed by Mani Ratnam and is produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. Ponniyin Selvan narrates the story of Arulmozhi Varman and the Chola dynasty.
