Telangana ranks second among the list of states to send the highest number of the leaders to walk 3,570km along with Rahul Gandhi in his Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to the Kashmir. UP stands first with 8 leaders being finalized to walk with Rahul throughout the yatra. Telangana with six leaders, who have been part of the yatra from the beginning till date, stands second in the list. The leaders are expected to continue their walk- Bharat Jodo Yatra up till Kashmir.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Padayatra is currently underway in Telangana. On the 4th day, Rahul Gandhi’ padayatra is going on in the state. In this padayatra, the state Congress leaders and activists are participating and are walking along with Rahul. TPCC is planning to have Rahul Gandhi talk to the people during the padayatra and find out the problems. Poonam Kaur was also spotted with Rahul Gandhi during his Padayatra on Saturday.
After meeting Rahul, Poonam Kaur spoke to the media, and said that she asked Rahul to speak in Parliament on the issues of handlooms, and he responded positively. Poonam asked Rahul to question the central government’s decision to impose 5 percent GST on handloom products and gas prices.
