Shamna Kasim, who is popular as Poorna, made her acting debut with Malayalam film Manju Poloru Penkutty in the year 2004. She made her debut in Telugu film Industry with the movie Sri Mahalakshmi. Poorna is popular for few movies such as Avunu, Avunu 2, Seema Tapakay, etc. The actress has acted in about 40 South Indian films so far. In the mid 2010s, actress Poorna appeared in a series of films where she portrayed a ghost. As she is not getting the offers from the filmmakers, she has been doing various dance shows and television shows. Poorna who has been staying in her native place Kerala from the past few months due to lockdown has hit by a shock. Avunu actress has been getting threatening calls demanding huge amounts.
Poorna’s family members reacted to this issue and approached cyber police. She lodged a police complaint, and the police investigated and arrested four persons who are behind these threatening calls. The interrogation is going on. The other details regarding this police case are yet to be out.
The sources revealed that four persons demanded some amount from Poorna and threatened to defame her name in public.
Poorna is so dedicated to her work that she shaved her head for her role in the movie Kodiveeran, which was released in 2017.
