Badshah is one of the most popular rappers and singers in India. Now he is in news for all the wrong reasons. The singer Badshah has been accused of buying fake views on YouTube by police officials in Mumbai. On the otherside, Badshah has denied allegations of Mumbai Police that he confessed to buying views for one of his music videos on YouTube.
According to the Mumbai Police, popular rapper Badshah confessed he bought views on YouTube by paying Rs 72 lakh in order to set a world record for most views in 24 hours. The video in question was for his song “Pagal Hai”.
Apparently, Singer Badshah was keen on setting a world record for maximum number of views for one of his recent songs, and when it got 72 million views in a single day, he claimed it was a record. However Google is said to have denied this claim.
Badshah is being questioned by CIU in connection with the probe into a racket which creates and sells fake social media followers and likes. The probe started when singer Bhumi Trivedi found her fake profile on social media and complained to the police.
On the otherside, Badshah said, “I was never involved in such practices, nor do I condone them.”
