Samantha Akkineni, the daughter-in-law of King Nagarjuna turned muse for photographer G Venkat Ram who recreated paintings of Raja Ravi Varma for his 2020 calendar.
Raja Ravi Varma was India’s greatest and celebrated artist. Now, Samantha Akkineni is looking straight out of a painting of Ravi Varma. Recently Oh Baby fame Samantha has done a new photoshoot that is inspired by the legendary painter’s work.
Samantha Akkineni did this photoshoot for Naam foundation and recreated the look of one of Ravi Varma’s paintings. The photoshoot was done by famous celebrity photographer Venkat Ram. Samantha Akkineni also shared the pic of her from this photoshoot on her Instagram.
For the photoshoot NAAM by the photographer Venkat Ram, Samantha Akkineni posed like the art of Ravi Varma.
Shruti Haasan, Khushboo, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ramya Krishan, Lakshmi Manchu also participated in the photoshoot of the 2020 calendar and shared their pics on social media sites. They featured on a limited-edition calendar themed on the painting of Raja Ravi Varma, recreated and captured by photographer Venkat Ram.
Raja Ravi Varma was one of the few Indians who not only understood women but also represented them exquisitely in a single dimension within four frames, infusing each painting with life through the use of color.
On the work front, Samantha Akkineni will be seen in the upcoming romantic film Jaanu, directed by Prem Kumar, in which Sharwanand is playing the lead role.
