Big-ticket movies like Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam, SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR and Mahesh Babu starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata, have their release dates fixed, while the makers of the respective movies are hopeful about a positive footstep by the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, for them to withstand the ongoing crisis in the movie industry. It is known that the makers of some biggies have announced dual dates for the release of their movies. Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati starrer action drama ‘Bheemla Nayak’ has already faced Rs 10 Cr loss on its release day, due to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The movie ticket price issue is one of the h*t topic in film industry.
Yesterday Prabhas was spotted in Mumbai and on the occasion of trailer launch event of Radhe Shyam when he was asked about the change they are expecting and how movies like Akhanda and Pushpa: The Rise have missed out on major business. Baahubali and Saaho fame Prabhas replied, “For the big budget movies, it was definitely a big loss. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are the big markets. But Andhra was a bigger one commercially. And if you make big budget films like Radhe Shyam, the producers will be in shock. It takes away 40-50 % of business so it’s a big loss.”
Radhe Shyam which has Pooja Hegde as the leading lady, is releasing on 11th March.
