
The Kashmir Files is a Hindi film which is written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. The movie presents a fictional storyline centred around the 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from Indian administered Kashmir. The movie depicts exodus and events leading up to it as a genocide, a notion that is widely considered inaccurate by scholars. The movie claims that such facts were suppressed by a conspiracy of silence. Prakash Raj who is a popular name in Indian film Industry, has called The Kashmir Files ‘one of the nonsense films’. Prakash Raj also criticized Vivek Agnihotri.
Recently during an event, Prakash Raj called out the film’s director Vivek Agnihotri and said that the producer of the film is ‘shameless’. The versatile actor also claimed that The Kashmir Files is a ‘propaganda film’. International jury spit on them. The makers are still shameless. The other fellow, director Vivek Agnihotri is still telling, ‘Why I am not getting Oscar?’ He will not even get a Bhaskar.”
Recently the actor attended the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters in Kerala where he spoke in support of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer action thriller drama Pathaan and also called The Kashmir Files a nonsense film. He also revealed that the makers have invested around Rs. 2000 cr.
