Pruthvi Raj Kandepi - Telugu Person died in Cincinnati shootingPruthvi Raj Kandepi – Telugu Person died after a gunman opened fire in a bank headquarters in Cincinnati. According to the latest report, at least three persons (Pruthvi Raj Kandepi, 25; Richard Newcomer, 64; and Luis Felipe Calderón 48), have been shot dead and two others injured in Cincinnati shooting. The names were confirmed by the Hamilton County Coroner.

Police Chief Eliot Isaac said on Thursday morning,  the shooter opened fire at the loading dock of the Fifth Third Bank building.   Authorities have identified the gunman as a 29-year-old Ohio resident. Omar Santa Perez, 29, acted alone when he opened fire. He was armed with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol that was legally purchased. Issac further said, “Some of the victims were shot multiple times.”

Pruthvi Raj Kandepi, Richard Newcomer, and Luis Felipe Calderón, were shot and killed by Omar Santa Perez. One person died at the scene, and two victims died at the hospital. Two other people who were shot are currently hospitalized and authorities have not released their identities. One is in critical condition and one has been upgraded to fair condition. Omar Perez was also killed when police intervened.

Isaac added that Omar Santa Perez is not a former or current employee of the bank. It is unclear how he got to Fountain Square, but he entered multiple businesses before going to the bank. According to the police report, the suspect had opened fire in the building’s loading dock before continuing into the lobby area and firing more shots. He legally purchased the 9mm semi-automatic pistol, which was recovered on the scene.

The police added, the victims had no connection to each other. It wasn’t immediately clear if any knew the gunman. No police officers were hurt.

Omar Santa Perez is also believed to have been living in the Greater Cincinnati area since at least 2015.
