The  Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was spotted jumping into the sea with fishermen on the campaign trail ahead of the crucial Kerala assembly elections in April and May. He wore a blue t-shirt and khaki trousers and he did not change his outfit before jumping into the sea. However, Rahul Gandhi changed his clothes after coming back to the Thangassery beach.

Rahul Gandhi was with the fishermen folk in Kollam district to get a taste of their life, but  he gave shock to everyone  when he jumped into the water when they cast their net.  According to the latest report, Mr Gandhi spent at least 10 minutes in the sea before returning to the shore.

The congress leader Rahul Gandhi was accompanied by a personal security officer when he jumped in to the sea from the boat after seeing the fishermen cast their net to catch  the fish.

Another congress leader revealed that  he jumped without informing anyone. There were 23 fishermen in the boat with  Mr Gandhi. They  were in shock when Mr Gandhi jumped, who is an expert swimmer.

The Congress leader was also accompanied by four party leaders, including senior member TN Prathapan and AICC general secretary KC Venugopal.

Rahul Gandhi also praised the fishermen and their hard work after his maiden fishing trip.
