On Monday the metropolitan magistrate’s court granted bail to businessman Raj Kundra, who was arrested in the month of July in the case pertaining to the alleged creation and publishing of pornographic films on mobile applications. Raj Kundra, the husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was granted bail on a surety of Rs 50,000 with certain conditions.
The businessman Raj Kundra had filed a bail plea last week after Mumbai Police’ supplementary charge sheet in this case had named him as an accused. Today Raj Kundra walked out of a Mumbai jail. A jail official said that Kundra was released from the Arthur Road jail shortly after 11.30 am.
Raj Kundra’ associate and co-accused Ryan Thorpe, who was arrested along with him on 19th July, was also granted bail by Mumbai court in the case pertaining to creation and streaming of pornographic movies through some apps. Kundra was in Arthur Road Jail in central Mumbai under judicial custody.
Kundra’ wife Shilpa Shetty shared a note on Instagram about standing back up after being ‘pushed to the ground’. The actress wrote: There are always going to be moments that push you to the ground. In times like these, I truly believe that if you fall 7 times, make yourself strong enough to be able to stand back up eight times.
