SS Rajamouli is receiving lot of applauses for his directorial venture RRR, which starred Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead role. RRR also has Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in extended cameo appearances, while Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson, Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris and Shriya Saran played supporting roles. The Russo Brothers and Indian director SS Rajamouli are the brains behind the most recent examples of this trend – both are known for their action packed dramas- The Gray Man and RRR, respectively. Russo Brothers and Baahubali film maker got up to discuss their different loves for the genre and what inspires fans all across the world, via a virtual meet.
In a Netflix-arranged interaction with Russo Brothers, SS Rajamouli said, “Yes, I was surprised with the reception from the West.”
Rajamouli added, “Everyone enjoys a good narrative, but I didn’t expect it, I could make the movies for everyone, or acquire a grip over Western sensibilities. I was shocked when the movie RRR first appeared on Netflix, when viewers started to watch it, when word of mouth started to spread, and when the reviewers started to give it positive reviews.
Joe said that “Action is a universal language.” Post their virtual conversation, Russo Brothers took to their Twitter, to write, “Such an honor getting to meet THE great SS Rajamouli.”
