Rajamouli passed on green challenge to IT Minister KTR, Mahanati directior Nag Ashwin and Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
TRS MP and Telangana Jagruthi Leader, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, took up ‘Green Challenge’ programme, initiated by Igniting Minds, an organisation dedicated to follow former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s footsteps. Under the program, Kavitha planted a sapling and nominated Badminton player Saina Nehwal, Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli, ABN Telugu Channel MD Radha Krishna and Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali. Kavita wrote on her twitter, “Accepted priyanka’s nomination & Doing my bit for greener World !! I nominate miss @Nsaina, Deputy CM Mahmood Ali garu, RadhaKrishna garu @abntelugutv & @ssrajamouli garu to take up the green challenge!! Plant a sapling & spread the word for a greener better world!! #HarithaHaram.”
SS Rajamouli to Saina Nehwal to GHMC Commissioner, have accepted the green challenge. SS Rajamouli nominated the ace badminton coach Pullela Gopichand, IT Minister KTR, and Mahanati film maker Nag Ashwin and Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Rajamouli shared a pic on his twitter and wrote, “Challenge accepted @RaoKavitha garu. Planted Banyan, Gulmohar and Neem saplings. And now, I nominate Pullela Gopichand garu, @KTRTRS garu, young directors @imvangasandeep, Nag Ashwin to take up the #HarithaHaram challenge.”
Saina Nehwal also took up the green challenge and Saaho actress Shraddha Kapoor, Anando Brahma fame Taapsee Paanu and hot diva Esha Gupta.
IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) had previously requested everyone to plant saplings instead of putting up hoardings for his birthday, which falls on 24th July.
Apart from the celebrities, the government officials- GHMC Commissioner B Janardhan Reddy, Principal Secretary, MA&UD Arvind Kumar and others also took up the green challenge.
Meanwhile Rajamouli is busy in the pre-production work of his upcoming movie #RRR in which Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Young Tiger Jr NTR will play the lead roles. Arjun Reddy directior Sandeep Reddy Vanga is working for the Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy in Bollywood whereas after delivering successful movie Mahanati, Nag Ashwin did not announce any project till date.
