Rajamouli Father: She is a very complex character

SS Rajamouli’ father KV Vijayendra Prasad, the writer who wrote the script for the Baahubali series (Baahubali :The Beginning and Baahubali 2:The Conclusion), Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Kangana Ranaut’s last release Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, is writing the script for Jayalalithaa’ biopic in which Kangana Ranaut will play the female lead and will make her screen presence as Jayalalitha. Recently during the media interaction, Rajamouli’ father KV Vijayendra Prasad talked about Jayalalithaa biopic and said, “Jayalalithaa is a very complex character to cover in a film. An actress par excellence who went on to be revered, worshipped and anointed politician. The various stages in her life have staggering layers. It is a very  challenge task to select which phases in her life would go into the film. I have to make sure that my research is correct and the facts that go into biopic are precise. Otherwise, her fans and followers would not forgive me.”

The upcoming film has been titled Thalaivi in Tamil and Jaya in Hindi. Kangana Ranaut will be seen playing the role of Amma. It will be helmed by Vijay who has made films like Madrasapattinam and Deiva Thirumagal. Vijayendra said that it was a great responsibility since already so many people are making a biopic on the former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Jayalalitha.

Vijayendra Prasad is seeing this as the biggest challenge of his career. Although the veteran writer Vijayendra Prasad has written a biopic earlier but he feels this is his first real biopic.  About Manikarnika, he said, “She (Lakshmibai) is a historical figure from the past and there is not that much data on her activities whereas in the case of Jayalalithaa, every incident in her life is recorded. “

It is heard that Kangana Ranaut is going to get Rs 24 Cr as remuneration to essay the role of Jayalalithaa.
