Recently during a press meet, when a journalist asked if he’s playing the antagonist, Rajamouli refused to confirm the news. However,  the sources close to the film’s unit has revealed that Ajay Devgn will be playing an extended cameo in Rajamouli’ RRR.

The sources say that while RRR sees Jr NTR and Ram Charan as Telugu freedom fighters, a major part of the story will pan out in New Delhi where Ajay Devgn’s character comes in. Apparently, the Bollywood star Ajay Devgn has been roped in to play a freedom fighter of those times.

Alia Bhatt is  will be making her Telugu debut  with RRR and will be seen romancing with Ram Charan whereas Olivia Morris is paired opposite Jr NTR. Bankrolled on a mammoth budget of nearly Rs 400 crore, RRR will be released in 10 Indian languages.

On the otherside, Ajay Devgn is currently enjoying the success of his recent offering Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which is doing superb collections at the box office. Directed by Om Raut, the film Tanhaji is set in the 17th century and based on the life of Tanaji Malusare, who was the military leader of Shivaji, the founder of the Maratha Empire.
