Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has permitted film shootings in the state on 8th June. As per government guidelines, besides production, post-production and other film-related works can be carried out but only a limited number of unit members are allowed to be present on the sets. Recently Megastar Chiranjeevi, Akkineni Nagarjuna met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to discuss the plan to resume shooting for film post-COVID-19 lockdown. RRR filmmaker SS Rajamouli was one of the Tollywood celebrities who landed in Amaravati and met with Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The celebrities from the film industry and the Chief Minister discussed various measures to develop Tollywood in Andhra Pradesh.
After the meeting, Chiranjeevi interacted with the media and said that the Chief Minister has agreed to their request for allowing film shootings in the state.
After the meeting, Rajamouli took to Twitter and extended his sincere thanks to the CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for giving the film industry hope in the time of a global crisis that has hit the film fraternity and theatre owners.
Apart from Chiranjeevi and Rajamouli, producers Dil Raju and D. Suresh also met YS Jagan.
On the work front, Rajamouli is currently working for multilingual and multistarrer movie RRR.
My sincere thanks to AP CM @ysjagan garu for giving the industry hope in the time of a global crisis that has hit the film fraternity and theatre owners. Grateful to the government for waiving off minimum fixed power charges on theatres which is a relief. @AndhraPradeshCM
