Telugu actor Rajeev Kanakala’ sister Sri Lakshmi passed away in Hyderabad today on Monday. This is the second tragedy hitting the Kanakala family within a year. Few months ago, Rajeev and Sri Lakshmi father Devdas Kanakala passed away. Now it’s Rajeev Kanakala’ sister Sri Lakshmi Kanakala. Sri Lakshmi had been undergoing medical treatment for cancer at a hospital. She breathed her last today. Sri Lakshmi is survived by two daughters and husband. Her last rites will be done tomorrow. Only very close family members are expected to attend the last rites of her.
Rajeev Kanakala’ Sri Lakshmi’s husband Peddi Rama Rao is a well-known journalist. He requested everyone not to visit their home during this time lockdown time. TV anchor Suma and Sri Lakshmi were good friends before Suma tied the knot to Rajeev.
Sri Lakshmi Kanakala has also acted in few tv serials and also in a couple of movies. Her popular TV serials are Chinnari, Ruthu Getham, Super Mom and Agnipooli. She has made her Television debut with her father Devadas Kanakala’ TV show Rajasekhara Charitra.
Rajeev Kanakala has informed about the death of his sister Sri Lakshmi to his relatives and friends. Owing to the Coronavirus and lockdown he also requested the family and friends to restrain from visiting the last rites.
