2.0 starring Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar, directed by Shankar will hit screens on 29th November 2018.
Finally the wait is over! Shankar has announced the release date of much awaited movie 2.0 in which Superstar Rajinikanth is playing the lead role and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is playing antagonist. The movie will arrive at the theaters on 29th November 2018. Shankar wrote on his Twitter, “Hi everyone.. atlast the vfx companies promised the final delivery date of the vfx shots. The movie will release on nov 29th 2018.#2Point0.”

Apart from Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar, 2.0 has other stars like Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Riyaz Khan and Adil Hussain in supporting roles. The film has music by double Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman.
While the shoot of sci-fi thriller 2.0 was wrapped up in the month of October last month but there was delay because of post production work. The VFX of Shankar’s directorial venture was undertaken by Tau Films, the company that worked on SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali:The Beginning and Baahubali 2:The Conclsuion.
Being the sequel to the 2010 hit film, Endhiran/Robo, 2.0 will have the Superstar Rajinikanth in dual roles, Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti – the Robot. It is made on the lavish budget of Rs 450 Cr and bankrolled by Subaskaran Allirajah under his home banner Lyca Productions. The cinematographer is handled by Nirav Shah.
2.0 would be Rajinikanth’s second film after his entry into politics. Rajinkanth was last seen in recently released gangster drama Kaala, directed by Pa Ranjith and produced by Dhanush.
