Rajinikanth’ daughter, Dhanush‘s wife, filmmaker Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s house was robbed. Jewelery worth lakhs was stolen from her house. Aishwarya Rajinikanth filed a police complaint. In her complaint, she stated that gold and diamonds were stolen from the house. Suspecting the three staff members of her house, Aishwarya filed a complaint at the Thenam Peta police station.
Among the items stolen were a diamond set, uncut diamonds in temple ornaments, antique gold pieces, navaratnam sets, matching earrings for two neck pieces with gold and diamonds, arum necklace and about 60 savari bangles. It was revealed in the FIR that the value of these would be around 3.6 lakhs. But the police claim that their value is actually higher than that.
In her complaint, Aishwarya Rajinikanth stated that she used the jewelery during her sister Soundarya’s wedding in 2019 and kept it in her locker after that. But even though the locker is still in his possession, she said that it has been moved to three places since then. Till August 2021, it was at his residence on St. Mary’s Road, after which it was shifted to the residence he shared with Dhanush in CIT Colony , and again in September 2021 to the St. Mary’s Road apartment. On 9th April 2022, the locker moved to actor Rajinikanth’s Boise Garden residence. She added, “The keys to the locker were kept in my personal iron cupboard in the St Mary’s Road flat. My staff knows this. They also often visit the apartment in my absence.”
