Seems like there is been strong opposition building up towards the Amit Shah’s latest pledge which reads “One Nation, One Language”. From the latest update, today, the South Indian Super Star Rajinikanth has taken a step in opposing the Amit Shah pledge of one common language as Hindi for the nation, reportedly. The veteran actor has expressed his feelings saying, the idea of having a common language could be good but further said, but it is impossible to implement it as it will face severe resistance from the Southern part of India.

Per the reports, Rajinikanth said that Hindi should not be imposed or decided as the common language and it will unfortunately not possible in a country like India. Rajini said, “A common language not just for India but any country is good for its unity and progress. Unfortunately, (one cannot) bring a common language in our country. So you cannot impose any language”.

“Especially, if you impose Hindi, not just Tamil Nadu, no southern state will accept that. Many states in northern parts will also not accept that,” he further added.

Apart from the Rajinikanth, Amit Shah’s own party member, and Karnataka state Chief Minister Yediyurappa has denied the suggestion of Shah for Hindi as the common language in India. However, it has to wait and see how the saffron party would respond to this negativity in the future.
