Akkineni Nagarjuna has played a variety of roles in his filmy career. He is always in front to work with the new directors who come up with experimental movies. Now according to the latest update, Akkineni Nagarjuna is going to play a key role in Tamil movie tentatively titled Naan Rudran, which will be helmed by Tamil star hero Dhanush. The upcoming film Naan Rudran is said to be the dream project of Dhanush and he initially wanted to rope Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth to play this role. But as Rajinikanth was busy in his ongoing project, was not able to allot the dates, so he rejected the offer, later Dhanush approached Akkineni Nagarjuna for this role.
As per the sources, Nagarjuna quickly accepted Dhanush’ offer as he was very impressed with the story and his character, which was rejected by Rajinikanth. The movie Naan Rudran will go on floors once the coronavirus scare is over. The movie also has Sarath Kumar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Anu Emmanuel and S J Suryah. It is being bankrolled by Thenandal Films.
Dhanush is currently waiting for the release of Karthik Subbaraj’ Jagame Thanthiram. He is also working for Karnan, his film with Mari Selvaraj, before the lockdown commenced. Apart from these, Dhanush has Anand L Rai’ Atrangi Re.
