Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth has already wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming much awaited flick Darbar where he is essaying the role of a cop.  The makers have already started the promotional activities and few days ago, they unveiled the motion posters of Darbar, which went viral on the social media. The motion poster of Darbar was released by Kamal Haasan, Mahesh Babu, Mohanlal and Salman Khan in their respective languages. Currently Darbar is in post production stage.  In the motion poster, Rajinikanth was seen as a stylish cop who is in the middle of a fight. He looked majestic while seated on a rolling chair  and his swag was un-missable.  The  sources revealed that this rolling chair fight sequence would one of the highlights of Darbar. Rajinikanth is said to have charged Rs 100 crores as remuneration for the project Darbar. The upcoming action entertainer is made on a budget of Rs 150 crores excluding Rajinikanth’ remuneration.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film Darbar is bankrolled on a huge scale by Allirajah Subaskaran under the banner of Lyca Productions. Rajinikanth is a pan-Indian star and Lyca is planning to release the  film in four languages namely, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi.

Rajinikanth will be seen in the role of  Director General of Police (DGP) who goes on a mission to Mumbai. Nayantara  is playing the female lead  in Darbar, which will be released  on 9th January 2020 during Sankranthi. An official confirmation regarding the film Darbar’s release date is yet to be made.

In AR Murugadoss’ directorial venture Darbar,  Rajinikanth will play two roles, as a cop and a social activist. Suneil Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas and Yogi Babu will be seen in prominent roles.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who himself is gearing up for the release of Dabangg 3, took to social media to post the Hindi motion poster of Darbar.
