A few weeks back, a biopic on Karanam Malliswari was announced and it made headlines. Karanam Malliswari is a Telugu girl who also became the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Olympics. She is a weight lifter. MVV Satyanarayana and Kona Venkat are the producers behind this project which is planned to be made on the Pan India level.
The makers are now on the search for the female lead role who can aptly reprise Karanam Malliswari onscreen. It is said that Rakul Preet is the front contender for the role. We all know that Rakul Preet is a fitness freak.
She has the knack of lifting weights and the producers are thinking that Rakul fits the role perfectly if she manages to put on some weight. Currently, the talks are going on and an official confirmation will be given in the coming weeks.
