Ram Pothineni Thadam remake shelved?

According to the latest buzz in the film industry, the young and energetic actor Ram Pothineni’ upcoming project, the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Thadam has been shelved. Currently the actor is enjoying the success of his recent offering the action and romantic entertainer iSmart Shankar, which is helmed by Puri Jagannadh. The sources say that though Ram Pothineni was extremely impressed with Thadam and wanted it to remake it in Telugu but now the project has been shelved.

His uncle Sravanthi Ravikishore acquired the remake rights of Thadam and Kishore Tirumala was on the board to helm this movie. Recently when Ram Pothineni heard the final narration, he decided to leave the project. Though the remake is put on hold and it is not yet clear whether Sravanthi Ravikishore will take another actor to play the lead role or not.

Thadam is an action crime thriller drama that was written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni and bankrolled by Inder Kumar under the banner Redhan – The Cinema People. The film had Tanya Hope, Arun Vijay, and Vidya Pradeep in the lead roles.

Currently Ram Pothineni is busy listening to scripts. Very soon he will finalize his next project and will make official announcement.
