Ram Pothineni last year has scored a super hit with Ismart Shankar and bounced back strongly. This year he has completed his next within a short time. He has chosen to remake Tamil block buster Thadam and has selected Kishore Tirumala with whom the hero has great rapport recently. The duo has worked for films like Nenu Sailaja and Unnadi Okate Zindagi. Now Red, Thadam remake, is their third collaboration.

Red has generated decent buzz with its teasers and songs. The movie is scheduled for April 9th release initially but that didn’t happen because of the lock down. Red is produced by Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and he is eagerly waiting to release the movie as soon as possible. However theaters will be opened only after 2 – 3 months after analyzing the then situation.

With this many movies are being approached by OTT platforms. Red has also been offered fancy prices and the producers have denied those. Recently Ram spoke in a interview and said some interesting things about the OTT deal.

Red is a movie which have thrills and entertainment which can be enjoyed to the fullest on big screen only. We will wait for months to give audience that experience. It is true that we got lucrative deal but we prefer theatrical release said Ram Pothineni.
