Akkineni Naga Chaitanya is currently busy in the promotional activities of his upcoming film Thank You which has Avika Gor and Raashi Khanna in the female leads. Recently during the media interaction, Naga Chaitanya made a big revelation that Silambarasan TR’s blockbuster film Maanaadu is getting a Telugu remake. He also revealed that he is not going to act in this remake. Naga Chaitanya said that Rana Daggubati would reprise the lead role in Maanadu Remake.
Suresh Productions has acquired the remake rights of Maanadu for Rs 12 cr. The team is currently making few changes in the script keeping the sensibilities of the respective audience in mind. Once the screenplay is locked, the makers will work towards getting an able director on board for the respective versions.
On the otherside, Naga Chaitanya will also be seen in crime thriller drama Dhootha for Amazon Prime Video. He will also star in Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Laal Singh Chaddha.
Meanwhile Rana Daggubati who was last seen playing the lead role in Virata Parvam co starring Fidaa fame Sai Pallavi, has wrapped up the shoot of his web series Rana Naidu which also has Venkatesh Daggubati. Apart from this he is also joining hand with OTT companies Amazon and Netflix for more web series.
