Rana Daggubati film for Rs 180 CrRana Daggubati is all set to play the role of asura King Hiranyakasipa, which will be helmed by Gunasekharof Rudhramadevi fame. According to the latest update, the pre-production work has been already started. Rana Daggubati’s father Suresh Babu will present this upcoming mythological drama whereas Rana Daggubati himself will himself produce it. Recently during the media interaction,  Suresh Babu opened up about Hiranyakasipa and said, “We have decided to spend Rs 180 crores for Hiranyakasipa. The movie will feature top class VFX and never-before-seen visuals. Hiranyakasipa will be made on a world-class level and the regular shoot will be commenced from next year.  Currently Gunasekhar is working on this film. The movie will not only be released in Telugu but also in other languages including Tamil and Hindi.”

Rana Daggubati’s career graph has been going high ever since SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali. His role as the deadly villain Bhallaladeva in Baahubali series (Baahubali : The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion) was instrumental in earning him a pan India appeal. Last year, he delivered three blockbuster movies-  The Ghazi Attack, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Nene Raju Nene Mantri.  Now Rana Daggubati is getting ready to play the role of Hiranyakasipa. According to Hindu Puranas, the Hiranyakasipa is among the most notorious and deadly asuras.

 On the otherside, Currently Rana Daggubati is busy in NTR biopic, where he is playing the role of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.  Apart from this, Rana Daggubati also has a bilingual Madai Thiranthu / 1948 and Ennai Nokki Paayum Thotta directed by Gautham Menon in his kitty.

 Rana Daggubati will also be seen in trilingual drama Haathi Mere Saathi.

A close source says that Rana Daggubati starrer Hiranyakasipa is Gunasekhar’s dream project and he wants to go all out to make it a grandeur on screen.
