Baahubali and Ghazi fame Rana Daggubati has turned producer for Sri Lankdan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan biopic and according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Vijay Sethupathi will play the lead role in this biopic and he will be seen essaying the role of Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan. It is a big budget drama. Rana is popular for medium budget entertainer and this is the first time, he is going to invest huge amount for Muttiah Muralitharan biopic.
Rana Daggubati said he was excited to have Vijay Sethupathi on board for this upcoming biopic to be directed by MS Sripathy and co-produced by Dar Media Pvt Ltd. He added that the upcoming biopic will be bankrolled under the banner of Suresh Productions .
Written and helmed by MS Sripathy, It is heard that the makers have decided to lock the title 800 for this biopic of Muttiah Muralitharan. The movie will go on the floor in the month of December.
Muttiah Muralitharan represented Sri Lanka from 1992 to 2011 and took over 1300 wickets across all formats. Muttiah has the most wickets in Tests and ODIs. He is currently only bowler to have taken 800 Test wickets.
Rana Daggubati’ recent home production film was Oh Baby, in which Samantha Akkineni played the female lead and the movie has turned out blockbuster at the box office.
