Mega Power Star Ram Charan and Samantha Akkineni starrer village-based drama Rangastham, was dubbed into Kannada and Malayalam. The makers released the Kannada version of Rangasthalam on 12th July and a few days later the Malayalam dubbed version.

The sources say that the distributor acquired the Kannada dunning rights for paying Rs 1.6 Cr and released it in more than 100 theaters in Karnataka but the collections of Rangasthalam is giving a shock to everyone.

According to the trader’s report, Rangasthalam has earned Rs 60 Lakhs at the box office of Karnataka. Though its Telugu version was blockbuster Kananda dubbed version s turning out disaster at the box office. The main reason behind the poor collections of Rangasthalam is said to be the lack of promotions.

Rangasthalam is directed by Sukumar and is produced by Y. Naveen, Y. Ravi Shankar and C. V. Mohan for the company Mythri Movie Makers. Apart from the lead pair, Samantha and Ram Charan the film also has Jagapathi Babu, Naresh, Prakash Raj, Aadhi Pinisetty and Anasuya Bharadwaj in key supporting roles. Rangasthalam is set in the eponymous fictional village during the 1980s.

On the other side, currently, Ram Charan is working with SS Rajamouli for RRR, which also has Jr NTR in the lead role. The movie is slated to hit the theaters on 30th July 2020.
