Rashmika Mandanna made her Telugu debut with Chalo, directed by Venky Kudumula this year in which she shared the screen space with Naga Shaurya. Currently Rashmika Mandanna is busy in her next upcoming drama ‘Dear Comrade’. Pelli Choopulu, Arjun Reddy and Mahanati fame Vijay Deverakonda is on the board to play the  lead role. Rashmika  Mandanna will play the love interest of Vijay Deverakonda in  Dear Comrade. On Wednesday, Vijay  Deverakonda shared the first look poster on social media on his birthday and captioned it “Mythri Movie Makers. Big Ben Cinemas. & Your Man @Thedeverakonda. Bring you an action drama you will not forget – #DearComrade directed by Bharat Kamma. Shoot starts this June.”

 The sources say, Vijay Deverakonda’s role will be seen playing student leader coming from a communist family. Dear Comrade will be set in Kakinada background. Vijay Deverakondawill be speaking in core Kakinada local tongue and Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna is playing a terrific role in Dear Comrade.

 Rashmika Mandanna will be seen as a cricketer playing for the state of Telangana. The sources close to Rashmika Mandanna says that she is going to Cricket Club in Hyderabad for some net sessions. She wants to learn fielding techniques and improve her batting skills.

Dear Comrade is currently in pre-production stage. The upcoming Telugu film Dear Comrade which will be helmed by Bharat Kamma was said to be inspired from Malayalam film Comrade in America aka CIA in which Dulquer Salmaan played the lead role. But recently during the media interaction director Bharat Kamma said, “Dear Comrade starring Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda has no connection with the Malayalam film.”

 Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s Dear Comrade will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, who have produced a number of super-hit films such as Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage and Rangasthalam.

 Rashmika Mandanna made her debut in films in 2016 with Kannada film, Kirik Party, which was hit at the box office. Currently Anjani Putra  and Chamak fame Rashmika Mandanna is busy in her upcoming Kannada movie Yajamana, being helmed by Pon Kumaran.
