In Tamil hit Ratsasan Vishnu Vishal and  Amala Paul played the lead role. The film will be directed by Ramesh Varma who earlier helmed the movies Veera and Ride.

Apparently, Ramesh Varma saw the Tamil film Ratsasan and was impressed with its content. He then recommended it to Satyanarayana, who eventually bagged the Telugu remake rights. He even readied the script, but just when things were set for the production, he chanced upon the remake of Ratsasan.  In Tollywood, Raashi Khanna was last seen in Srinivasa Kalyanam starring Nithiin, which was bombed at the box office. Currently she is sharing the screen space with Vishal in Ayogya, the remake of Telugu film Temper, which is being helmed by debutant Venkat Mohan and is bankrolled by B. Madhu under the banner Light House Movie Maker. Apart from Ayogya, Raashi Khanna will also be seen in Shaitan Ka Bachcha.
