Ravi Kishan on casting couch: Ravi Kishan, the Bhojpuri actor, who has been a part of the film industry for almost three decades now, feels that unsolicited sexual advances are made towards both men and women in this entertainment industry. There are number of actors who are raising their voice against casting couch in the film industry.
Recently during the media interaction Ravi Kishan opened up about the existence of Casting couch in film Industry. According to Ravi Kishan, only female actresses are not facing sexual harassment but male actors are also facing casting couch in entertainment industry for getting the chance in movies. Ravi Kishan also gave shock when he said, “Some actresses are harassing male actors in this industry.”
Ravi Kishan added, “You get to know how you have to get out of this situation, and save yourself from getting into the game of casting couch. If you sleep with someone, you will never be able to get ahead in life. So say no to unwanted sexual advances. There is no future in selling yourself for grabbing the chance in movies.” Ravi Kishan further said, “If you say yes, you might get something in that particular moment but it will break you from inside. You won’t be able to cope at your inner conscious level, when you will realize that whatever you have achieved only because of this.”
Ravi Kishan is well known face for Telugu audiences as he has been the part of few Telugu movies like Supreme, Okka Ammayi Thappa, Lie, MLA, Race Gurram etc.
In 2005, Bollwyood actor Ranveer Sing who is popular for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat, not only revealed that he had been victim to the casting couch, but also added that it is a commonplace situation for strugglers.
Ayushmann Khurrana has also revealed that when he was working in the television industry, he was asked for sexual favours by a casting director.
Meanwhile Ravi Kishan is busy in his upcoming Telugu movie Saakshyam in which Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Pooja Hegde are playing the lead roles.
