Few days ago, on the occasion of birth anniversary of late CM and actor Nandamuri Rama Rao, Kalyan Ram made official announcement regarding his upcoming project Bimbisara, with the tagline ‘a time travel from evil to good’. Bimbisara will be backed by K Hari Krishna under the banner of NTR Arts and directed by Mallidi Vashist.
The poster showed Kalyan Ram as a ‘barbaric ruler’ who holded a sword with blood stains and was perched on top of a pile of bodies. The film has Catherine Tresa and Samyuktha Menon playing the female leads. Now the reports are coming that Kalyan Ram offered the role of powerful villain in Bimbisara to Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja but Krack actor rejected the offer.
The sources say that the makers of Kalyan Ram’s period film Bimbisara approached Ravi Teja for the villain role which is equally powerful but the actor dropped the plan and said no for this role. In past Kalyan Ram has produced Teja’ Kick 2 and both are good friends.
Currently Ravi Teja is waiting for the release of Khiladi, helmed by Ramesh Varma and backed by Satyanarayana Koneru, in which he is playing the double role. Khiladi also has Unni Mukundan, Arjun Sarja, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Dimple Hayathi.
