It is known news that Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, who was last seen in Srinu Vaitla’s directorial venture Amar Akbar Anthony, has joined hands with VI Anand who made films like Okka Kshanam and Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada , for an upcoming movie which has been titled as Disco Raja. Today on the occasion of Ravi Teja’s birthday the makers of Disco Raja has released the official Title and Logo.
Disco Raja is a sci-fi thriller with period element in which Ravi Tej will be seen playing dual role. It will be produced by Ram Talluri under the SRT Entertainments banner. This is producer Ram Talluri’s second film with Ravi Teja. Earlier both have worked together for ‘Nela Ticket’, which was bombed at the box office. Payal Rajput who was seen in bold romantic drama RX100 starring Karthikeya, is on the board to play the love interest of Ravi Teja in Disco Raja. Apart from Payal, Nabha Natesh of ‘Nannu Dochukunduvate’ will also be seen playing female lead. Vennela Kishore, Sathya, and other actors will feature in the project.
Ravi Teja is going through a lean patch with back to back debacles. After his last outing Amar Akbar Anthony tanked heavily at box office, Ravi Teja is taking utmost care in finalizing the upcoming projects. In Amar Akbar Anthony, Ravi Teja was seen in triple avatar. Ileana D Cruz made her comeback in Telugu film Industry after a long gap with Ravi Teja starrer, which was produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar and Mohan Cherukuri under their banner Mythri Movie Makers.
VI Anand is known for exploring novel scripts and different genres. He made his directorial debut with Hrudayam Ekkada Unnadi , which was released in 2014. In the same year he made his directorial debut in the Tamil film industry with a critically acclaimed sci-fi drama Appuchi Gramam. His last directorial venture was Okka Kshanam starring Allu Sirsh, which was released in 2017.
