Godfather, which has megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead roles, is an upcoming Telugu political thriller action film directed by Mohan Raja and produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Chiranjeevi is one of the busiest actors in Tollywood right now and he has a number of the projects in the pipeline which are in the different production stages. Once again his movie Godfather is in the news headlines. The music composer Thaman talked about Godfather and revealed that lady Superstar Nayanthara is playing Chiranjeevi’ sister.
Thaman also stated that he composed a wonderful sentimental song about the brother-sister relationship. Salman Khan is also the part of this big budget drama. Godfather will mark Salman’s first appearance in a Telugu film.
Mohan Raja has returned to Tollywood with Godfather after a decade. Chiranjeevi was last seen playing the lead roles in Koratala Siva’s Acharya which is about the middle aged Naxalite turned social reformer who launches a fight against the Endowments Department over misappropriation and embezzlement of temple funds and donations.. The movie also starred Ram Charan and dusky siren Pooja Hegde in a key role.
Godfather is expected to hit the theaters by the end of August or in the early days of September this year.
