Regina Cassandra to make Bollywood debut in a film alongside Sonam KapoorSouth beauty Regina Cassandra  surprised everyone  last year when she revealed about her Bollywood debut Aankhen 2, a sequel to the 2002 hit, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arjun Rampa, Arshad Warsi and Ileana D’Cruz but unfortunately the film was shelved due to unknown reasons. Now according to the latest buzz in the film Industry, she has signed yet another Hindi movie, that will mark her Bollywood debut. She has been roped in  upcoming romantic entertainer ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’,   in the direction of Shelly Chopra, the sister of  Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sister. Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor  is on the board to play the female lead whereas Regina will be seen playing crucial role.  The film also starring Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Rajkumar Rao.

 The sources say that  the director Shelly was in the hunt of a South actress who has western look. After a few tryouts, finally she approached Regina. Though Regina  Cassandra is a familiar face in the South, she had no qualms in giving an audition, much like a professional.

The real-life father-daughter  (Anil Kapoor and Sonam) will play father-daughter in the film too. This is the first time when Anil Kapoor will be sharing the screen space with her daughter Sonam Kapoor.

On the otherside,  Regina who was last seen in Natural Star Nani’s production venture Awe starring Kajal Aggarwal, Eesha Rebba, Nithya Menen and other, is currently busy in her upcoming Tamil movie  Mr. Chandramouli, directed by Thiru and produced by G. Dhananjayan. It features Karthik, Gautham Karthik, Regina Cassandra and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
