It is known that Manchu Vishnu is the new president of MAA. He defeated Prakash Raj, who was contesting for the MAA president post, on Sunday night. We have already reported that Prakash Raj has resigned from the membership of Movies Artistes Association – MAA, the apex body of Tollywood, after losing the elections to Vishnu Manchu, has now said that there is a deeper meaning behind his decision to quit MAA.
Prakash Raj also said that he would explain very soon the reason to resign from Movies Artistes Association – MAA membership. He added he has self-respect as an artist, and therefore he is resigning from the membership of MAA.
Naga Babu who was in the support of Prakash Raj, has also resigned from MAA. Now according to the sources, megastar Chiranjeevi’s brother Naga Babu and Prakash Raj are joining hands to float a new body for Telugu artistes by name ‘All Telugu Movie Artistes’ Association’ (ATMAA).
All Telugu Movie Artistes’ Association- ATMAA will be a competitor to the MAA. Prakash Raj is planning to reveal more details about ATMAA in a press meet very soon. This move is aimed to bring the split in MAA.
