Revanth Reddy has been arrested in Kodangal constituency. The Police broke into Revanth Reddy’s house during the mid night and arrested him. Later they shifted him to an undisclosed location.
Revanth Reddy‘s brother Kondal Reddy has also confirmed this news. He interacted with media and react over the incident. He alleged that it was a kidnapping and added that there was no search order. Kondal Reddy has faulted the Police attitude and alleged that there is a life threat to his brother.
Recently, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president Revanth Reddy called for a protest against Telangana Chief Minister KCR’s visit to his Kodangal to campaign for the TRS candidate.
At a campaign rally in Kosgi, Kodangal, Revanth Reddy said, “This is a fight between four members of the TRS family and four Cr people of Telangana. This is Kurukshetra and dharma will win.” His speech received thunderous applause.
Just after this meeting, shouts of “Tiger Anna Zindabad!” were heard in Kodangal town, where he will be contesting the upcoming election.
Revanth Reddy has been in politics since 2004, and was elected as MLA on a TDP ticket in 2009, defeating five-time Kodangal MLA Gurunath Reddy.
He was then re-elected in 2014 from the Telugu Desam Party, but defected to the Congress in October 2017. When Revanth Reddy filed his nomination with the returning officer on 19th November, he held a rally, with a crowd of hundreds.
