In 2019, the four lorry workers were arrested for raping and killing a young Hyderabad veterinarian, were killed in what the Telangana police says was an encounter. The police had said: That happened when they tried to escape during a crime scene recreation. It is known that Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV is making a movie Aasha Encounter. Initially the movie was titled Disha Encounter. CBFC refused to certify Ram Gopal Varma’s controversial film Disha Encounter, citing reasons that a few scenes of the movie bear striking resemblance to the ghastly rape and murder of a 26 years old veterinarian in Shamshabad on 27th November, 2019. Finally the movie has been titled Aasha Encounter and RGV is going to launch the trailer of this film tomorrow morning.
Ram Gopal Varma took to his Twitter and wrote: The trailer of AASHA ENCOUNTER will release tmrw mrng 9.30 AM ..It’s based on a horrific crime which happened on NOVEMBER 26 th 2019, and the film is releasing in theatres this NOVEMBER 26th.”
Jollu Shiva, Chennakesavulu, Jollu Naveen and Mohammad Arif were suspected of committing the crime. On 6th Dceember 2019, the police shot dead the four accused at Chatanpally in Ranga Reddy district.
Aasha Disha Encounter is directed by Ram Gopal Varma and it has Srikanth Iyengar, Sonia Akula and Praveen Raj.
