Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has been arrested by the NCB on Tuesday after being questioned for five hours by the Narcotics Control Bureau- NCB on Monday. She is the 10th person to be arrested by the central agency in a drugs case linked to the probe into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. NCB has arrested Rhea Chakraborty under sections 89(c), 20(b), 27(a), 28 and 29 of the NDPS Act. Rhea Chakraborty blamed Sushant Singh Rajput and his circle of friends for consuming drugs and she denied she consumed drugs.
Bollywood act0or Sekhar Suman took to his Twitter and said, Rhea Chakraborty’ arrest the way ahead will be clearer and called it a “big victory”.
Rhea Chakraborty was at the Narcotics Control Bureau’s south Mumbai office for 6 hours on Sunday, and 8 hours on Monday. Today she reached the bureau office at 10.30 am and the formal announcement of her arrest was made 5 hours later. Rhea will be produced before a magistrate via video conferencing at 7.30 pm today.
According to the latest update, after conducting the medical examination at Sion Hospital, Rhea Chakraborty will be presented by NCB before court via video conference on Tuesday at 7:30 PM. Currently she is being taken to Sion Hospital by the NCB for Coronavirus test and medical examination.
