It is a known fact that the young sensation Vijay Devarakonda is doing a film titled Jana Gana Mana with Puri Jagannadh. Two schedules of the movie were also canned a few months back. Now according to the latest report, Jana Gana Mana has been shelved and the reason behind it is Liger which has turned out a disaster at the box office. The makers have taken right decision at the right time.
Jana Gana Mana was the dream project of Puri Jagannadh of ismart Shankar fame and he was planning to make the movie on the lavish scale of Rs 200 Cr. But now the movie Jana Gana Mana – JGM has been shelved post the failure of Liger.
The sources say that post the debacle of Liger, Vijay Deverakonda asked Puri Jagannadh to give him time and halt the shoot of JGM for now so that he can wrap up Kushi under the direction of Shiva Nirvana which has Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the leading lady.
The reports are also coming that one of the producers’, My Home Group, has also walked out of the project.
The Pan India film Liger ended up as a disaster at the box office and it brought over 50% losses for the distributors.
