On speaking to India’s victory over the West Indies in the finals of the three-match Twenty20
International (T20I) series, Rishabh Pant and Virat’s combo had paced India with their half-centuries score. For the match which was held at the Guyana National Stadium on Tuesday, Rishabh Pant has set a new record by scoring 65 out 42 balls.
He turned down the previous record of Indian wicket-keeper MS Dhoni in T20Is with his new high score. Dhoni has scored 56 runs as the highest in T20Is with the match against England held in Bengaluru in 2017.
To the West Indies total of 146/6, the Rishabh Pant and
Kohli’s, the partnership has made a score of 106. With the Indian victory, yesterday recorded the West
Indies their sixth consecutive defeat in the format. On speaking to the Pant’s new record, team
captain Virat expressed his views saying, “We are looking at him (Rishabh Pant) as the future. He’s
got a lot of skill and a lot of talent. It is about giving him some space and not putting too much pressure. He’s come a long way since he’s started. We want to be professional as aside. Looking forward to some fun in the ODIs and Tests as well”.
