Rita Bhaduri, the film and TV actress, passes away on Tuesday morning. She was last seen as Imarti Devi in TV show Nimki Mukhiya, was 62.
Raazi fame Shishir Sharma took to his social media site Facebook to share the news of her demise. The actor wrote on FB, “We deeply regret to inform you that Reeta Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on 17th July, Tuesday at 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East. Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being .. a mother to many of us.. will miss u Ma…”
Rita Bhaduri was suffering from kidney ailment and had to go for dialysis every alternate day. She was admitted in the hospital for the last 10 days. Her funeral will take place at Andheri in Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon. Recently, actor Amit Behl has also confirmed the news that she was admitted in Mumbai’s Sujay hospital for many days and was getting the support from CINTAA members.
Rita Bhaduri is popular for her work for several movie including Raja for which she received a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. The actress also played the supporting role as Julie’s best friend in the hit movie Julie where a song “Yeh Ratien Nayi Purani” was picturized on her. Her popular movies are Kevi Rite Jaish, Yudhpath, Tilak, Ayee Milan Ki Raat, Bezubaan, Nastik, College Girl etc.
Rita Bhaduri, who was not Gujarati but was associated with Gujarati Film Industry. She has worked in over 20 TV shows, which includes Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, Bible Ki Kahaniya, Krishnaben Khakhrawala, Aaj Ki Housewife Hai… Sab Jaanti Hai, Thoda Hai Thode Ki Zaroorat Hai, Hudd Kar Di, Hum Sab Baraati, Amanat and Kumkum.
