And en-route, he received the news that he has become a father now!
Rohit Sharma is coming back to the home with his newly born baby girl and wife Ritika Sajdeh. He will miss the fourth Test against Australia starting 3rd January.
According to the latest update, Rohit Sharma will join the ODI squad on 8th January 2019, with the first game starting 12th January 2019. The final Test starts in Sydney on 3rd January. India lead the series 2-1.
Ritika Sajdeh, who is also Rohit Sharma’s manager, delivered their first child in Mumbai on Sunday.
Rohit Sharma, who scored a half-century in the third Test as India beat Australia by 137 runs to take 2-1 lead, will not be available for the series-deciding 4thTest in Sydney as he has already taken the flight back to Mumbai to welcome his first child.
The couple Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh tied the knot on 13th December 2015.
