Story: Vasco De Gama Alberto (Akash Puri) is a young guy  who is a criminal  and wants to earn the money.  He and his childhood friend Annie join Goa’s notorious drug mafia lord Rodrigues’ gang.  He falls for Monica (Ketika Sharma).  Soon  Vasco D Gama kills Rodrigues and proclaims himself as the new mafia king of Goa. He kills an SI so ACP Ramya Gowarikar (Ramya Krishna) transferred to Goa from Mumbai to nab Vasco.  What happens next? Will Ramya nab Vaso? What will happen to Vasco and Monica’s relationship? To get these answers, one should watch Romantic on screen.

Performance: Akash Puri in the role of Vasco De Gama has delivered his fantastic performance. His facial expressions, way of dialogue delivery are impressive.  He is in superb form, especially the ease and energy levels. Ketika Sharma as Monica performs well. Ramya Krishna as a sincere cop is one of the major highlight of Romantic.  Her act especially the climax, is  engaging. In the end, the way Vasco De Gama and Monica realize their love for each other has a lot of feel. Puri Jagnnadh and Ram Pothineni cameos are highlighted. Rest  of the cast of Romantic perform accordingly.

Technical:  The storyline of Romantic is interesting. Dialogues are in Puri Jagannadh’ style. Cinematography by Naresh Rana is alright and is pleasing to eyes. The picturesque Goa beaches and the rustic places are captured well by the cinematographer. The songs are good.  Sunil Kashyap sets the mood up for the film with his background music . Editing is fine.  Action sequences are well choreographed and the art department does a good job. Production values  are lavish.

Analysis:  The cinematography, dialogues, direction and actors’ performance form the magic. You can watch Romantic this weekend.
