Gangubai Kathiawadi first look: Alia Bhatt who is making her debut in South Indian film Industry with upcoming much awaited movie RRR, is also busy in her Bollywood movie Gangubai Kathiawadi . Today the makers of Gangubai Kathiawadi released the first look poster of Ali Bhatt starrer. Alia Bhatt just dropped her first look posters as “mafia queen” Gangubai Kathiawadi on social media. Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on the life of Mumbai’ mafia boss Gangubai Kathiawadi, who was a s*x worker and eventually became an underworld don in Mumbai.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is said to be based on a portion of author Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens Of Mumbai in which Alia Bhatt is playing the lead role. Coming on the first look posters of Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt sports intense, never-seen-before looks.
The posters appear to show a younger and a slightly older versions of the actress. In one poster, Alia Bhatt has a gun. She also sports a mole on her left cheek with her neatly parted hair braided with ribbons. In the second poster, Alia Bhatt appears with a more mature persona of Gangubai, the red bindi being symbolic of her rise in Mumbai’ underbelly. Alia Bhatt has her nose pierced and wears a traditional Kathiawadi nose ring. A big choker is spotted on her neck. Her eyes loaded with kajal look resplendent.
The upcoming film Gangubai Kathiawadi marks Alia Bhatt’ first movie with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It is slated to hit screens on 11th September this year.
